Overview
Langtang Valley Trek is the next-door Himalayan trek to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Despite being adjacent to the capital, the Langtang Valley trek is as extravagant as any highland trek with tranquil rural terrain. The Langtang Valley trek would serve as the best route for those seeking a short trek with the experiences of the Himalayan highlands and the amazing panorama of the mountains. The Langtang Valley trek offers picturesque landscapes, traditional villages, and unique cultures with the heartwarming hospitality of the native kindhearted people.
The Langtang Valley trek is festooned by the blooming Rhododendron forest, eye-catching bamboo forest, cascading waterfalls, and the panorama of the beautiful mountain vistas. The Langtang Valley trek is the most happening trekking route with the utmost miscellany in Nepal. The series of broadened valleys provide a tremendous array of feasible trekking routes as per the need.
The Langtang Region was nominated Nepal’s first Himalayan National Park in 1971 as it comprises the Himalayan feel with the habitation of the native Tamang people whose religion, culture, traditions, and norms are much more likely to those of Tibetans than of their cousins in the hills.
The Langtang Valley trek strolls along the fast-flowing Trisuli River, north of the capital of the country, Kathmandu. With a groovy bus drive rewarding with the enchanting beauty of the diversified flora and fauna, we make our way through the trail of the cascading waterfalls and dense forest along the way ultimately to the fluttering Trisuli Bazaar piloting us to the beautiful village of Dhunche and later Syabrubensi.
Thereupon the trek strolls into the Langtang Valley on the foot trail up along a gorge-like, lower section of the valley. The Langtang Valley trek continues via the hostile moraine trail to the Tibetan village of Langtang where you will be enthralled by the beauty of the various Tibetan festivities as you participate in those festivities as one of the natives. The locals of the region will please your heart with their broad-hearted warm hospitality with the motto; ‘Aathiti Devo Vawa’ which means that the guest is God.
Following the route of the Langtang Valley Trek, we reach Kyanjin Gompa(Monastery), a Buddhist Sanctuary preserving the tranquility of Buddhism. The Langtang Valley Trek acclimatizes at the Kyangin Gompa to sample the local yak cheese which is one of the best cheeses available in the whole wide world. We make our way via the Nubamatang, located in the hidden valley, of the gateway to Tibet.
Backtracking, we travel through Syabru and Sing Gompa, where the sanctified lake Gosainkund is located. The holy tranquility of the Gosaikunda Lake is believed to wash away all your sins and offer you a new life to do well and be good. Crossing the Laurebena pass, we continue south, leaving the Langtang region behind us as we travel through the Helambu Valley to Gul Bhanjyang. From here the Langtang Valley Trek comes to a halt with a few day’s journey back to Kathmandu.
