The trek usually begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara, a charming lakeside city, to Dhampus Phedi dropping you at the first step of the Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek. The foot trail then leads you to Dhampus and Pothana plunging through the green forests flourished with the magnificent beauty of the pine and simawalichi trees. Energize the body by having lunch at Dhampus and push upward to the Pothana through the green forest with angular views of the sacred Mt.fishtil, Dhaulagiri, and some other higher peaks behind.

The trek from Pothana to Jhinu Danda via beautiful Gurung village Landruk and crossing some hanging bridges above the melting river Modi Khola and Kimrong Khola. The trek from Jhinu Danda to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is a straight trek via Chhumroong which then is followed by Sinuwa, Bamboo, Dobhan, Himalaya, and Deurali. One of the highlights of the Annapurna Base Camp trek is reaching Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), located at an elevation of around 3,700 meters (12,139 feet).A short hike from the  Machhapuchhre Base Camp will roll you toward your ultimate destination, “The Annapurna Base Camp”.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Pokhara – Dhampus Phedi(1130m/3170ft) – Pothana(1990m/6530ft) – Landruk(1620m/5320ft) 25 minutes drive and 6-7 hours trek

Within 25 minutes northward drive from your accommodation, Lakeside to the Dhampus Phedi. Then the trek starts up climbing to Dhampus through Phedi, and a beautiful village with farmland. The trek ridge continues through the forest to reach Dhampus which is the lunch spot for this day. After lunch, the trek will be continued upwards crossing the green forest entering before the agriculture village of Pothana. From where can have fantastic views of the fishtail mountain and some other peaks too. The journey ascends via farmland and forest to the hilltop tiny village of Deurali(2100m/5892ft). Walking ahead with the perfect view of Mt. Dhaulagiri I(8167m/26796ft) on the left and the Annapurna range on the right side. A steep descending leads to the Tolka village and walking an easy way to reach the Gurung village of Landruk overnight. Within 25 minutes northward drive from your accommodation, Lakeside to the Dhampus Phedi. Then the trek starts up climbing to Dhampus through Phedi, and a beautiful village with farmland. Day 02: Landruk- Jhini Danda(17550m/5470ft) – Chhomorong(2210m/7250ft) 5-6 hours trek

The trail leads downwards to New Bridge, crossing the suspension bridge above Modi Khola and climb up to the Samrung. Again cross the hanging bridge above Kimrong Khola and climb steeply up to the Jhinu Danda, where is located the natural hot water springs. The trek continues with a steeply climb up to the very beautiful and wealthy Gurung village, Chhomorong. The attractive and wealthy Gurung village shows the closer views of the giant peaks.

Day 03: Chhomorong – Himalaya(2840m/9320ft) 6-7 hours trek

We drop down through 2500 steps and cross the scaffold(hanging bridge) above Chhomrong Khola. From here it is a tough move to Sinuwa(2340m) and the trek goes through wonderful woodland to Kuldihar pursued by a simple downhill stroll to Bamboo for lunch. After that keep climb passing through the several avalanche chutes before entering Dobhan. We go through the green forest to achieve Himalaya where the timberland opens up and we are out in the sun again with dumbfounding perspectives on the frigid stream underneath.

Day 04: Himalaya – MBC(3700m/12140ft) – ABC(4130m/13550ft) 6-7 hours trek

It is a lofty move up through a lot of drier woodland before coming to Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop nearer to the stream before climbing again to Deurali, the most picturesque stretch of the day. The climb from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is fairly strenuous. From Machhapuchhre base camp, we get brilliant perspectives on the lofty Machhapuchhre alongside Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna which is surely a compensating background. The vegetation vanishes on our approach to ABC and the way broadens as we enter the Annapurna haven, the most picturesque stretch of the day. From here, we get thrilling perspectives on the close vertical south face of Annapurna transcending above us. The haven brags of a dynamic view without anything hindering the 360-degree display.

Day 05: ABC -Sinuwa(2340m/7680ft) 7-8 hours

Wake up early in the morning, walk to the border of the glacier for sunrise and memorable views and photo opportunities of higher peaks close to your eyes. After that we gonna say by to Annapurna haven with having fantastic Breakfast. From the Annapurna base camp, we backtrack downwards through MBC, Deurali, Himalaya to Bamboo. The present trek is downhill, so it shouldn’t be exceptionally troublesome. Additionally, we will consistently have the organization of the exceptional scene to brighten us up. From Bamboo, it is a tough trek to Kuldighar and passing through dense forest before entering Sinuwa, for more comfortable and relaxing overnight there.

Day 06: Sinuwa – Ghandruk Phedi(1280m/4200ft) – Nayapul(1070m/3510ft) – Pokhara(880m/2900ft) 5-6 hours trek, 2-3 drive

Declining stroll to Chhomrong Khola before climbing the stone strides to Chhomrong. The trail at that point slides to Taglung, Jhinu Danda, and Kimrong Khola. we get the opportunity to appreciate the astounding slope scene of western Nepal. Cross the suspension bridge above Kimrong Khola and easy walk to New bridge and follow the trail along the riverside to the Ghandruk Phedi for lunch. FAQ

Our guides are trained in first aid, carry a comprehensive medical kit, and can deal with most of the problems encountered on treks. However, in the case of a serious accident outside help needs to be available. That’s why comprehensive insurance is essential. Trekking is not possible without full insurance cover, which you can purchase in your home country. You need to have full, personal, travel insurance that covers personal belongings, trip cancellation plus medical, rescue, and evacuation insurance(for air ambulance and helicopter rescue services). You must carry the company’s insurance policy certificate with you, it must include your name, address, policy number, contact numbers, and procedure for the company’s rescue department.
Trekking entry permits are required to each of Nepal’s National Parks and Conservation Areas. The entry permits cost range from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 3000 per entry and additional permits are required for Restricted Region Treks. We can manage all types of permits. There are five Restricted Regions which are close to the Tibetan border were opened for outside in 1990. The treks only can do with a professional guide and minimum of two trekkers. Your original passport and extra photos are required to make permits for Upper Dolpo, Mustang, Nar-Phu, Tsum Valley, Manaslu, and Kanchenjunga trekking. The fees are according high and range from USD 90.00 - USD 500.00 for a week or 10 days then stiff daily amounts.
Credit cards are only accepted in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara. You have to make ready Nepalese Rupees to spend during the trek. That’s why you have to take a sufficient amount of Nepali Rupees on your trek. Your personal expenses should be only for hot showers, charging batteries, additional drinks, and snacks, the cost rising with altitude. You can make a ceremony with your trekking team at the end of the trek.
Regular walking or jogging activities for a few months before your trip will ensure high altitude trekking. People who trek so quickly and climb too high in a day may suffer Acute Mountain Sickness( AMS) so we call trekkers slow and steady walking. Stops for rests and do not carry more than 5 kg with you. Pre-fitness and stamina are required for trekking in Nepal. Spend at least two nights in the city before going to the trekking destination which gives time for acclimatization as well as easy to arrange necessary trekking permits.
We prefer the group size from 1-10 pax but more can be accommodated on request. There must be 2 persons accompanied by a registered guide in the Restrict Regions( Upper Dolpo, Mustang, Nar-Phu, Manaslu, and Kanchenjunga). Anyone who is reasonably fit and can walk for 5-6 hours a day in a hilly country can trek in Nepal. We suggest children up to 15 years stay below 3500m and above 15 years can tackle the higher routes.
A delegate from Snow Bank Adventure will meet you outside the terminal building and pick you up and take you to your hotel. We use cars or minibusses as the means of transportation in cities. For trekking, we use flights, local buses, minibusses or jeeps depends on the distance, terrain, and size of the group. There is a limitation on luggage up to 15 kg per person on small planes.
