Overview
The Manaslu Circuit & Tsum Valley Trek is one of Nepal’s most amazing trips. It takes you to see the beautiful high Himalayas. It also brings you to the quiet, spiritual Tsum Valley. This journey is far from busy cities. It feels like a hidden world. Old Tibetan Buddhist ways are still alive here. Monasteries share prayers from long ago. Tall mountains stand like strong protectors. This trip mixes adventure, culture, and wild nature. It is a special experience you will remember forever.
You start in green lowlands near Kathmandu. You walk along the Budhi Gandaki River. The river flows fast and clear. You pass terraced fields where farmers grow rice and corn. You walk through thick forests with tall trees. You cross wobbly suspension bridges made of wood and rope. These bridges sway as you step on them. Then you reach Tsum Valley, called “The Hidden Valley of Happiness.” This valley is a secret place. Life there is simple. People live close to nature. They follow old spiritual ways.
In Tsum Valley, you visit old monasteries. Mu Gompa is one of them. It is a silent and quiet place. Monks pray there every day. Gumba Lungdang is another monastery. It sits alone in the mountains. You can feel peace when you enter. You can also hike to Ganesh Himal Base Camp. This is a high spot with glaciers and big mountains. You see ice shining in the sun. The air feels cold and fresh. These places make you feel close to nature and history.
After Tsum Valley, you join the Manaslu Circuit path. You walk around Mount Manaslu. It is 8,163 meters tall. It is the eighth highest peak in the world. The mountain looks strong and beautiful. The trail goes up and down. You see rocky paths and open skies. The trip ends at Larke-La Pass. This pass is at 5,160 meters. From there, you see snow-covered mountains. You can spot Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. The views are big and amazing. You feel on top of the world.
This trail is different from busy paths like Everest or Annapurna. It is quiet and natural. You don’t see many people. You can listen to birds. You can hear the wind. You meet local people along the way. They smile and say hello. You learn about their lives. Some wear traditional clothes with bright colors. They might offer you tea. This trip lets you feel close to nature and friends.
The best time to visit this place is from the month of March to May or from September to November. These months have clear skies. The weather awesome, it’s neither too hot nor too cold. You can see the mountains well. In winter, from December to February, it is quite cold. Snow falls on the paths. This makes the trip pretty but tricky. Bring warm clothes like jackets and gloves. In the rainy season, from June to August, it rains a lot. Paths can get muddy. Carry a raincoat and good shoes. Always check the weather before you start. Snow Bank Adventure helps you plan. They get permits, guides, meals, and safety gear. You can focus on enjoying the trip.
This trek is good for people who love adventure. It is also good for those who want to learn about culture. You need to be fit to walk long hours. The guides help you every step. The trip takes 24 days. It is long but worth it. You will see many new things that most people never do.
You stay in a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu for 3 nights. This is on Days 1, 2, and 23. During the trek, you stay in teahouses from Days 3 to 22. Teahouses are simple homes where locals let you sleep. They have beds and warm blankets. You get 3 meals a day on the trek. This is breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. You also get a farewell special dinner on. You get safe drinking water during the trek.
