Overview

The Mundum Trek (also called the Mundhum Trail) is an extraordinary off-beat trekking route in eastern Nepal that blends culture, nature, and stunning ridge-line scenery. The route passes through the ancestral heartland of the Kirat Raj people-one of Nepal’s oldest ethnic groups-giving trekkers a close encounter with indigenous culture, sacred sites, and rural mountain life. The trail follows long rolling ridges offering wide panoramic views of valleys and snowcapped peaks. The ultimate highlight of the trek is Silichung Peak (4,150m) an exceptional viewpoint from which the four highest mountains in the World-Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu- can be seen on a clear day.
